Born With Birth Defect. Feet Going Sideways, Had One Solid Bone, Surgery Done. What Is It Called?

I was born with a birth defect and I would like to know what it is called. When I was born my foot would go sideways til my toes would touch my heel. They said my foot was one soild bone and that I would have to have a cast on it on and off to help fix the problem. Yet as the years went by I couldn't run because my ankle would brake. When I turned 9 I had surgery on my foot and they broke my foot in 3 different places and put in fake cartlige in. I still don't know what caused it and what it was called for my foot to do that.

CTEV (conital talipes equino varus) deformity is present from birth but it is corrected in infantile age by molding in plaster casts and surgery in olderage groups.
