Bowel Movement With Dark Green Stools, Floating. CT Scan Showed Diffuse Colon Wall Thickening, Colonoscopy Clear. Diagnosed With IBS. Advice

I had a ct scan that showed diffuse colon wall thickening, a later colonscopy came out clear. I have been diagnosed with ibs. last Friday I had a bout a very loose stools (had been normal prior 7 days, once a day). Yesterday seemed better. This morning, I had a bm with formed dark green stools, one floating.

is this just an ibs symptom?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Let me explain you few things as these are necessary for you as you haven't mentioned the age and sex in your query.
Women are diagnosed with I B S two to three times as often as men.
Patients with I B S fall into two broad clinical groups.
1 Most commonly patients have abdominal pain with altered bowel habits consists of constipation , diarrhea or both.
2 painless diarrhea.
In my opinion you don't have I B S , because the green color with stool indicates some disease in the gallbladder .
Consult a gastroenterologist and get his opinion after ultrasound of abdomen with emphasis over liver and gallbladder.
Good luck.
