Bright Blood Discharge Even On Fifth Day Of Periods. History Of Light Bleeding During Periods. Any Thoughts?
I started my period four days ago and usually as the days pass it gets lighter. So today is the fifth day and usually on the fifth day there isnt any thing but a few spots. But suddenly while looking at TVs I felt wet and felt myself and my hand and pants were covered in blood. And it was bright blood. I was shocked because I've never had my period do that before.what could make my period start again and so heavy and brighter.
If it is the first time this has occurred then please do not worry. There are continuous hormonal changes occurring in the body and this bleeding might be due to that. If it bleeds heavily an another occasion then you must report it to your gynecologist. It may be due to other reasons like thyroid disorders or any pathology in your uterus. You have not mentioned your age or any intake of contraceptive pills, which can also be a reason. An ultrasound scan may be required for you.
Hope this helps
