Broken Metatarsal. Itching Inside Foot. Normal For Healing Fracture?
Hi, I am a 16 year old female runner. I recently broke my third metatarsal and I have been off for about three and a half weeks now. The severe pain I experienced when I first broke it has gone away, but once in a while I feel an itching feeling inside my foot, a very slight throbbing, or a non-painful shooting feeling in my foot. I would like to know if this is normal symptoms of a healing break, or if I should stop all activity for a while. I have been stationary/resistance biking, and swimming.

Hello,
Any stress at the site of fracture will cause pain until heals completely.
But the nature of pain is the one which causes concern.
This sort of pain is typical to a nerve injury.
There are neurovascular structure running it that area and the likely of it getting injured is a possibility.
Consult your doctor.
