Bruise Like Pain On Left Side Near Kidney, Painful. Working In Oil Refinery. Any Ideas?

I woke up 2 days ago with a bruise like pain on my left side near my kidney. When I get out of bed in the morning it hurts real bad. I didn't fall down or strain it in anyway. Not sure what to make of it. I work in the oil refinery industry and I'm not sure if I should stop working and check it out or take a over the counter medicine until I get back home. What could it possibly be?

Hi, many thanks for the query!
This can be muscular pain, or stone related..
You need to do- USG KUB, X-ray KUB, Urine (R/M), RFT.
Till then take antispasmodics, pain killers, muscle relaxants with
your doctor's opinion.
Drink plenty of water.
Wish you a good health.
Take care.
Regards.
