Bruise On Cheek, Muscle Spasm Up And Down The Back

I fell on by butt by suddenly slipping on a metal grate while running a few hours ago. I have a huge red and purple bruise on my left bottom cheek . Feel spacey. Slight muscle spasms all up and down my back and neck. What the best thing to do right now? Ice and ibuprofen? How about a massage for my spinal muscles spasming ?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hai,
1. If you are comfortable (except for the pain) in sitting cross legged or squatting with full movements in your hip, then probably there wont be any bony injury. In that case the brusing in your butt will be a haematoma.
2. Muscle cramps in your back and neck can be due to soft-tissue injury after the event.
3. Ice over the bruise will decrease further formation of haematoma and swelling.
4. Massaging might increase the pain-spasm cycle and worsen your condition. Hot fomentation near the most spastic areas will give some relief.
5. Taking NSAID's with muscle relaxants along with adequate rest to the part will help you recover better.
