Bruises And Fractures, Cannot Open Mouth Without Discomfort, Front Tooth Moving. Will It Fix Over Time ?

So the other night I got drunk at a club blacked out next thing I know I was covered in blood chin split. Neck bruises fractured two molars one may be salvageable the other not. Can't open my mouth without discomfort. When I open my mouth my lower front tooth feels like it is moving but it isn't loose. Can that be something I should be concerned wi or will it fix itself over time. The ER didn't take any tests for concussion. Should they have? Or if I could have damaged nerves since my jaw is in a bit of discomfort?

Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

Difficulty in opening mouth may be due to-dislocation of jaws or condylar displacement.

I would advice you to get a thorough clinical as well as OPG evaluation done.

Splinting of loose teeth as well as intermaxillary fixation has to be done.

Avoid mouth opening too widely.

Jaws has to be immobilised for a while.

Please do visit an oral surgeon for further reference.

Take care.
