Bump On Leg With Red Ring Surrounding It And Pus Oozing After Squeezing. What Is The Cure?
Really painful pimple like bump on my outer leg. Has a red ring around it and very tender. It feels like a golf ball is under it in my leg. It hurts to walk because of it. Squeezed it and a ton of puss came out but it still feels like a lot of pressure. It has a black top on it now after popping it.
Hi, After reading your history I can make out that you developed pyoderma with secondary infection of the affected area.
Tender leg with plenty of pus is quite unusual. It is basically possible only when there is secondary infection.
You check out with your blood sugar level which is most important thing in deciding the secondary infection pus production.
Take a course of antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg twice daily for secondary infection. Do not pinch, pop or squeeze the area. Give proper rest to the affected leg and keep it raised. For pain part you can take tablet paracetamol or diclofenac two times. If at all the pain is no reducing in 48 hours then show it to a doctor.
Take care.
