Burning Sensation From Outside Labia While Urinating, Feeling Of Soreness, Severe Pain. Sexually Inactive. Thoughts?
Hi!
Let me start out by saying that I'm a virgin. Have only had oral sex, nothing else. The day after I felt a burning sensation when I urinated. But it wasn't coming from the action, it was coming from the outside of my labia. I felt (couldn't see) and felt a sore/ulceration. It's very painful for me. About a 7 on the pain scale.
In absence of any sexual contact, the risk of Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) can be ruled out. The symptoms mentioned by you such as burning sensation during urination suggest that you might be having Urinary tract infection.
The management involves: 1. Drinking lots of water (it dilutes the urine & reduces the burning sensation) 2. Antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice in a day. 3. If there is associated fever, then paracetamol 500 mg three times in a day can be added.
One more thing, avoid acidic foods, carbonated drinks and alcohol & maintain good hygiene. There is no need to worry, you will perfectly alright after taking the course of antibiotics. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Take care.
