I am having heartburn in my upper abdomen, belching,i can even hear wind inside my abdomen,if I am eating I felt pain when food passes down my stomach, the pain is down my chest or esophagus.A month ago I woke up when I felt a very bad taste in my throat, the taste was like acid,so what I did was to gurgle with water and drank 2 glasses of water to relieve the soreness. What I am having now?Gasritis, ulcer or other abdominal disorders?I am very worried because abdominal cancer is very common now.Pls. enlighten on this.Thank you.
Hi. You need to have an evaluation for this with blood work and upper endoscopy. You may just have gastric acid reflux (GERD) with inflammation of your esophagus, but you could have a peptic ulcer with H pylori infection or something called achalsia which is a narrowing of the lower end of the esophagus.
