Burning While Urinating. Feel Very Raw, But Nothing Red Or Unusual. Used Triamlone Cream, Didn't Help. Treatment?
Hello: I am a 74 year old female. For the last three to four days, I have had extreme burning upon urinating but only externally. The urine feels like it is touching something raw, but when I look, there is nothing wrong, red or unusual. Like I said, this is only externally and it is very uncomfortable to urinate knowing it will burn there. I have used Triamlone (sp) cream, but it doesn't seem to have helped. thanks
This would be possibly secondary to a fungal vulvo-vaginal infection. It would be best to consult your doctor who can prescribe local antifungal cream and oral antifungals if required.Your partner should also receive antifungal treatment at the same time to prevent recurrence due to passing of infection from one to the other.Ruling out UTI by a routine and microscopic urine test would help.
