Busted Knuckle On Metal Tool Box. Swollen, Infected, Cannot Bend, Fever, Sore Throat? Related? What To Do?

I busted my knuckle on a metal tool box and now it is swollen, infected and cannot bend. I am also having flu like symptoms like fever, sore throat and body aches. Is it related? Should I be concerned or go get a tetanus shot? I can't remember the last time I got a shot but its been over 5 years at least. What should I do?

I have read complete details of your question.

If you are having infected ,swollen knuckles then you should not wait & consult to your doctor.This needs debridement (a surgical treatment) with good antibiotic therapy.

You should also have a tetanus shot .
