Calf Pain, Had Nail Ripped Through Flesh, Play Football, Wear Skinny Trousers. Cause?
A nail ripped on out my flesh on my leg, the deepness minimal, and I took some antibiotics and applied dressing on. The thing is I play football every evening and now my caf is hurting when I walk, does this have any thing to do with my cut, or is it because of the football. And I also wear skinny trousers, does that affect me as well? Thanks much
Your calf pain is because of your cut. What happens is due to the cut you might not be putting body weight over the anterior (front side) foot and this leads to some biomechanical adjustment for you to miss the "heel off" phase and reduce the "mid stance time" on affected side during a normal gait cycle (scientific analysis of normal walking pattern). This in turn strain the calf muscle and hence calf pain....
So you need to check yourself that wheather you can put pressure over front of foot or not then decide to continue your football.
Hi.
Hurting of the calf can result from either; however, I would like to consider the nail injury as the more possible reason for the same. Your assessment about the depth of injury may not be correct (I mean there is always a room for an error in the assessment). However, if your assessment is correct, then football may be responsible for the present problem. In either case I would recommend rest for a week. Reassess the situation at the end of the week and then take further action. I don't think skinny trousers have any role to play in this matter.
Thanks.
