Cam I Take Clarithromycin For Sinus Infection While Suffering From UTI?

Good evening, I am currently taking clarithromicyn 500 for a sinus infection, also 2 prednisone 20mg for 3 days, then 1for 3days.. My question is, I kind of feel like I have a urinary tract infection-will the clarithromicyn work to prevent this? I would hate to have to take a third medicine!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You are having sinus infection and taking clarithromycin. Clarithromycin may be effective in urinary tract infection but its not a good choice for UTI.
You can take amoxiclav or levofloxacin that will work in sinus infection and UTI both.

You should go for urine culture test. It will give you exact idea then choose single antibiotic that is effective against both.
