Can Actalin Be Taken While On Synthroid For Thyroid?

Hi I am 56 yrs old and take synthroid for my thyroid. I weigh 157 and am 5 7 I have been on synthroid for about 6 yrs now. I had a total hysterectomy when I was 37 and decided to get off my hormones when I turned 50, when I did I started having thyroid problems and now I am on synthroid. Will Actalin be okay for me to take? I do not take any other meds but synthroid and occasionally advil. I have a hard time taking vitamins as they sometimes hurt my stomach.

Actalin contains various minerals and vitamins like iodine, ashwagandha root extract, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin A, niacin, riboflavin, zinc and many more that is used to support the optimal thyroid function. On the other hand, Synthroid is used in the treatment of underactive thyroid or hypothyroidism. Taking any other supplement or multivitamins and multi minerals like Actalin with Synthroid may cause someone to require a higher and lower dose of Synthroid. Many medications like multivitamins and multi minerals or supplements can change the absorption, breakdown or response to Synthroid when they are taken with Synthroid. Ashwagandha is one of the active ingredients of Actalin that may increase thyroid hormone levels. So before using Actalin or any medication along with Synthroid, you should consult your doctor first and without your doctor's permission, you should not start taking any medication or supplements.
