Hello,

Addison's disease causes fatigue, weakness, and pain in muscles, rapid heart rate, dizziness, intense salt craving, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss. Skin changes include black freckles and dark skin on hands and face.

I do not know what "a black flack on her leg" is. To my knowledge memory loss is not associated with Addison's. I wish you had included the age of your daughter.

X-ray of hand and wrist is ordered by the doctor to determine the bone age of a child being evaluated for growth delay. A pediatric endocrinologist once told me that a delay in bone age of 1.5 years was not significant.

Memory loss can be caused by a concussion, learning disability, emotional stress, lead poisoning, and a growth in the head. A pediatric psychologist, if there is one in the school, would be an excellent authority to speak with on having your daughter evaluated for memory loss.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd
