Hello, US FDA has assigned category C in pregnancy to Amitrypataline. In animal trials, this drug has shown to produce some congenital malformations if doses used are 8 to 33 times of human dose. However there has been no study of tnis drug in human pregnancy. Tnis drug can be used in pregnancy if it is very essential to give this drug and it's potential benefits are found to be outweighing the risks. Thanks
