Yes amlodipine besylate can be used in pain in the feet and hands due peripheral vascular disease (PVD). Amlodipine is a vasodilator (dilate blood vessels) and is helpful in relieving pain caused by constricted blood vessels due to peripheral vascular disease. The information which you have written is insufficient to conclude any diagnosis. Diagnosis of peripheral vascular disease requires some tests. Your doctor might have suspected PVD and has prescribed amlodine.
Advice
1.     Continue amlodipine as suggested by your doctor. You can ask your doctor about rational of using amlodipine besylate
If you really suffers from PVD, then I am recommending you some lifestyle changes which might improve your pain
1.     Stop smoking if you are a smoker
2.     Start workout in gym at least for half an hour for 4 – 5 days in a week regularly
3.     Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
4.     Avoid oily foods
5.     Consume less salt
6.     If you are obese then lose weight
7.     Check your blood pressure regularly. If it is highthen consult your doctor
8.     Investigations
a.     Doppler ultrasound of feet
b.     Lipid profile
c.     Blood sugar (F & PP)
Thanks
