Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Both medicines advised from your doctor are good for acne.
They do not remove or heal the acne that is already there though, but only prevent to eruption of other lesions or acne. Give some time of the acne that you have to heal, and you will be much better.

If these medicines do not clear your acne for 3-4 weeks, then you should see your doctor again, so they can review the treatment given to you, and suggest another.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako
