Can Chlorthalidone Be Taken In Place Of A Water Pill?
Pravastatin and chlorthalidone know have to take chlorrthalidone 4 hours after or 2 hours before. Am taking water pill not chlolrthalidone and not liking it Wish to go back to chlorthalidone. I take water pills in morning and pravastatin in evening late evening like 11 pm . I am 76 years , overweight, try to limit salt intake; I need to. pop= Pepsi and Coke , need to limit to 1 glass a day or elimate from diet. YYYY@YYYY

If your treating doctor has prescribed the other 'water pill' for one of the above conditions, then you may take Chlorthalidone after consulting him. Pravastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medication which is best taken in the evening or night.

It is always a good idea to get rid of all soda in the diet if you are trying to lose weight. Even diet sodas stimulate weight gain.
