My boyfriend worried and bought us chlymedia tablets, we took them Monday. He s experiencing itching in his penis? Could this be cystitis or the tablets kicking In or what?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Azithromycin is an antibiotic which can kill your normal bacterial flora also. Your boyfriends itching in penis can be related to fungal infection secondary to antibiotic intake. It is better to confirm it by consulting your GP.For such case i advise antifungal ointments like clotrimazole or terbinafine for local application.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
