Can Cipro Be Taken For Frequent Diarrhea?

My wife has been experiemcing diarrhea for two days. It now seems that the frequency of trips to the toilethas reduced. She spends much of the time in bed. Generally, her overall health is very good. Is this likely to be something that would respond to an antibiotic such as Cipro?

Dear if she is suffering from diarrhea that bacteria (ecoli, vibrio, shigella, salmonella)induced then it will respond to Ciprofloxacin. if it is induced by amoeba, giardia not respond then need ornidazole or tinidazole. I think I answered to question if you have more questions feel free to ask.
