Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
Both Diazepam and Clonazepam are members of the benzodiazepine group and they work similarly. Of course some people respond better to one member of the group than another.
Both are controlled medicines requiring a valid prescription and the only way to get it is by your doctor's prescription. Explain to him that your symptoms are better controlled with diazepam than clonazepam and your doctor is likely to help you with a prescription for your preferred medicine.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
