Can Crestor Cause Pain In The Hips And Thighs?

I have taken 10 mg of Crestor daily for about 5 years. My cholesterol is quite low with this use. I have also lost 25 pounds and watch my diet eating a lot of vegetable and fruits. For the last month I have had a pain in my thigh/hip. It is muscular pain but seems to originate next to the femur. I asked Dr. about this at my physical 1 month ago and he seemed to blame it on growing old. I am 65 years old and walk 7 miles a day while golfing. I asked my chiropractor about the pain and he seems to think it was referral pain from stenosis in my spine. He also looked at my X-rays and said my hip joints are in good shape. Could this unexplained pain in my hip be caused by Crestor?
