Can Crocin DS And Meftal P Be Administered For High Fever And Cough In Children

My Son is 7 years old. He is suffering from high fever and cough. I gave him Crocin (not DS) in the interval of 4 hours in the morning. But the fever dint subside completely. I took him to the doctor. He adviced to give Crocin DS in the interval of 4 hours along with Meftal -P suspension thrice a day. Both are heavy doses for fever. Is it advisable to give Crocin DS and Meftal - P at the same time.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
The dose of crocin(Paracetamol) is 15 mg/kg body weight/dose 4-6 hourly depending on the severity of fever.
& years boy is expected to weigh 22 kg.
Crocin-ds contains 50 mg/ml
So about 6ml of crocin need to be given.
Ibuprofen is not required.
