Can Cymbalta Cause Stabbing Stomach Pain With A Loose Bowel Movement?

I recently started taking Cymbalta for peripheral neuropathy(6-7 weeks). for the past week I have been having stabbing stomach pains(mid abdomen) after eating which usually results in a bm. my stools are much looser than normal and seem to have a yellow bile cast to them. Any ideas? I also have had diverticulitis in the past but this pain is different. And I usually suffer from constipation.

Hi,

What medicine you are taking mainly given for functional condition, again your symptoms might not be due to any disease or pathology. If this is the abdomen symptoms and it is nonspecific then it may not need any particular treatment, if I would be doctor of this case then I would try Tab Clinidium with Chlordiazepoxide three times in day.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
