Can Dayquil Be Taken While On Metronidazole For Cough, Headache And Chest Pain?

I took my last dose of metronidazole last night about 10 30-11 pm. I have a bad cough, slight headache, upper chest and upper back aching, runny nose at times and then stuffy, it also hurts my throat when I cough .I am coughing up mucus.Can I take dayquil to help with my symptoms? Will it interact with the metronidazole?
