Can Dengue Fever And Typhoid Fever Occur Together?

Can Dengue fever and typhoid fever occur together? If a person's platelet count drops and the Typhidot IgM turns out to be positive also. Will the typhidot IgM will be considered false positive. If we consider Dengue and typhoid together, then can we give antibiotic therapy? Won't the antibiotic therapy further decrease the platelat count.

Hello
Dengue is a mosquito-borne illness is typically self-limited and non fatal. It is caused by dengue virus single-straned positive sense R N A viruses .
While typhoid is a water born disease caused by four strain salmonell typhi "O", "H'
,"AH","BH".
No doubt in typhoid drug of choice is antibiotics and they also lower the count of platelets ( but not too much , so need not to worry).
When these both disease occurs we can give treatment of these tow concomitantly .
But take precaution and measure the platelets on regular basis .
As I mentioned that dengue is a self limited and non fatal so can give treatment with success.
Hope this information will help you.
