Hello
propranolol (ingredient ) is a beta blockers and indication for high blood pressure .
Diovan is valsartan and is also used for high blood pressure but this is angiotensionI receptor blockers .
Your friend is taking valsartan ( diovan ) and it has different mechanism of action , as its name indicate .
Either upload the report of high blood pressure ( why you are having high blood pressure and what is the cause ) or consult your treating physician that you want to switch over medicine from propranolol to vlasartan ( diovan ).
In my opinion self medication is not good for high blood pressure patient.
Good luck.
