Can Doxycycline Be Stopped If It Causes Nausea?

I have been taking doxycicline hyclate for a month an a half at the request of my dermatologist because I have lost some hair and have bald patches. I have been nauseated for the past week and I read on line that this is a side effect associated with this medication. Shall I stop taking the medication?
