Can Duolin Respules Be Used As A Substitute For Pulimcort?

my son suffers from croup and bronchitis, i have pulimcort for his nebulizer which i have been using, I am running out and have duolin respules from a previous presciption, is it possible to use them for him or should i rather take him back to our gp?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM....

Noted your child suffering from bronchitis.
Pulmicort contain budesonide....
Duolin contains bronchodilator hat yar s salbutamol and ipratropium bromide...

In bronchitis if allergic it is necessary to relieve inflammation ...so pulmicort need to be used along with bronchodilator to relieve inflammation ....

You can take both respules....in nebulization.
If only one is to be used go for pulmicort as narrowing is due to inflammation.....so pulmicort will be useful....
