Can Ezetimibe Cause Hand Weakness After Two Months Of Use?

Have been taking Ezetimibe for two months and have noticed a reduction in strength in my hands. This seemed to start about two weeks after starting this course of medication. There has been no change in my activity level or eating habits. I am 76 years old and fairly active.

Hi,

Ezetimibe is generally a safe medicine, without much known side effects. Though in some cases, it may cause muscle pain, cramps and tenderness, but reduction in strength of limbs including hands is unknown with this drug. Hence, you are advised to see your doctor about this for a definite diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
