Hi,

Cremaffin is a laxative medication that contains two active ingredients: liquid paraffin and milk of magnesia. Liquid paraffin helps to lubricate and soften the stools, while milk of magnesia helps to draw water into the intestine and increase bowel movement. Ezilax is also a laxative medication, but it contains a different active ingredient, called bisacodyl. Bisacodyl works by stimulating the muscles in the intestine to contract, which helps to move stool through the bowel.

While both Cremaffin and Ezilax are laxatives, they contain different active ingredients and work in different ways. It is not recommended to substitute one for the other without consulting with a healthcare professional, as the dosage and potential side effects may differ. If you are unable to find Cremaffin, it is recommended to speak with a healthcare professional for guidance on the most appropriate alternative laxative for your son's needs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
