Can Fluconazole Be Taken Along With Methadone?

I was giving a prescription called Fluconazole 100mg. I also take Methodone for back pain which 100mg. I told the doctor that I was worried about taking them together, he said, it s a catch 22. He I need it to clear up infection that s in the ulcer in my stomach but the medicine can also harm me. I m so confused on what to do

Fluconazole can increase the concentration of methadone in body by altering it's metabolism. So if you notice more than usual tiredness, sleepiness or fatigue, the dose of methadone need to be decreased while on fluconazole. Also, avoid activities that require high level of alertness like handling machinery or driving whole on this combination.
