Can Gabapentin And Clonazepam Be Taken Together?

I am now taking gabapentin 300mg ever night for back pain the dr. recommended for helping sleep I also take clonazepam 0.5 at night. I have been taking this for anxiety for many years. Now I find I am having a lot of gas in my bowels. I don.t take an antacid 2 hrs before. Is this a problem to take together

Hi,

It is perfectly fine to take Gabapentin and Clonazepam together. The combination usually does not cause any issues including GI side effects. Eat small frequent meals, avoid too much dairy, avoid fatty and spicy food and avoid carbonated drinks to prevent gas.

You can also try over the counter simethicone to help relieve gas. Continue Gabapentin and Clonazepam as prescribed.
