Can Gabapentin Be Taken Along With Alprazolam?

Can I take gabapentin twice a day as prescribed by my doctor and then take alpralazam 0.25 at bedtime as usual? I always take the alpralazam at bedtime so I can get a good nights sleep. My doctor prescribed it for me. Seems to me like too many drugs in one day. The gabapentin is for arm pain which is from arthritis in the neck and possibly a pinched nerve. Going for a MRI tomorrow. Hello,

It would have been useful if you had mentioned the dose of Gabapentin as it comes in different strengths of 100, 200 or 300 milligrams.

That being said I think that you can safely take that single dose of Alprazolam for the moment, the two medications independently of the Gapabentin tablets strength is not a very high one and you should be safe.

However keep in mind that medication like Alprazolam is not recommended to be taken for long periods of time as it creates tolerance and dependence, shouldn't be used for over 4-8 weeks.
