Can Gabapentin Dosage Be Increased While On Morphine?
I was on Lyrica 225 mg twice a day. Due to the cost of it , am now taking gabapentin 600mg 3 times a day.Along with morphine 15mg twice aday. It doesn t seem to work nearly as well. Can the gabapentin mg be increaced? I have Fibromyalgia, RA, Osteoporosis, Osteoaurthuric. and Neuropithe. I am 69 yrs old.Female No other health problems. My spine is twisted and curved.I smoked for 50 years and have quite a month ago.
Yes possibly you can increase the dose. In fact, if pain relief is not achieved the dose of Gabaoentin for neuropathic pain can be increased up to 900 mg 3 times to 4 times a day. So yes you can increase it, but do not increase it suddenly and of course do not do it without consultations of your own doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
