Can HIV Be Contracted While Undergoing Abortion?

My cousin detect Hiv positive. she thought she got infection while abortion. is it possible ? how much chances if they boiled it and used it? and as you are saying hiv virus can live few minutes in air then if they did not boil is it possible to spread infection via instruments?

No it has minimum chance by which they can spread in the way you mentioned that is via instruments. because most of the hospital uses autoclaved instruments. hiv virus is very sensitive it can live only few minutes in air. also dies immediately after boiling. and when you autoclave it there is no chance of hiv. only thing if the instrument is soiled with blood of previous patient than you can develop aids. thnx
