Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCAREMAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

Yes, animal danders can be a very common cause for causing allergic reaction that can cause stuffy nose along with other symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, itchy skin etc..
As your dog must be staying inside the house and after closing all the windows can reduce ventilation and it can cause more of animal danders inside the house causing allergic reaction..
You can however keep the dog away and not in your belongings like in a outhouse..
Along with it to relieve the symptoms you can take decongestant nasal sprays like Oxymetazoline containing sprays..
Do saline nasal irrigation..
You can take anti-histamines like Levocetrizine..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
