My son is 13 months. He had recurring cold caugh and fever. he gained just 900 gms in the last 4 months. though his chest x-ray had no significant abnormality, the mantoux test came as positive with 12mm. As per his pediatrician's advice, we have started the treatment for primary complex from today.. still he is having caugh and slight weezing. when will the caugh and weezing get reduced? is this common?

Hi
Greetings

It takes time for the Anti tubercular treatment to act, cough may be present for upto 2-3 weeks from start of treatment.
Normal saline nebulization will be helpful in relieving the symptoms.

Take Care

Best Regards
Dr Deepak Kishore
