Can I Get My Periods While Being On Active Pills?

Hi Dr,I am currently taking Levelen ED to postpone my period until Dec 13, as I am going overseas for my IVF cycle. I have been taking the beige pills continuously.Of late, I have symptoms of my period arriving sharp pains in my pelvic region. Is this normal?Can I still get my period while I am on the active pill. I have mine everyday at 8PM.Regards,

Hello,

Getting your period while on the active pill is highly unlikely. However, the possibility cannot be completely ruled out either. At this point, you continue the active pills and see if bleeding develops.
