Can I Give Sinarest Syrup To An Infant For Cold?

Hi doctor, My 3 months old baby has cold and cough and was prescribed sinarest AF drops of 0.3 ml twice a day. Instead of sinaresr drops I brought sinarest syrup and with measuring cap I measured 2.5 ml and assumed it as 0.25ml and have fed the baby twice, once in night and once in morning. PLease let me know what could happen.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
I would suggest that you should be extremely cateful while buying medicines and as well while you are giving. Sinarest AF has only medicine for cold, but just sinarest has medicine for fever as well. So you have not only given the wrong dosage but also the wrong medicine.
Do not panic, its ok since its only a couple of doses. But henceforth please be careful, doctors can only suggest, you have to take the suggestions and implement it for your kids good.
Take care
