Can I Pill Cause Irregular Periods Or Missed Periods?

i did not get periods from september 2011 and i am scared if iam pregnant. but i took i pill within 24 hours of unprotected sex and is it due to the i pill, the irregularity caused. coz i have been using i pill every month atleast twice from few months.

Hi,

Yes, it may cause either. The emergency contraceptive pills like I-pills contain high levels of hormones, so taking them repeatedly could lead to uncomfortable side effects, like headaches, nausea, irregular or delayed periods. Hence, avoid taking these pills frequently.
