Can I Put My Child On Hydrocortisone For Red Blisters And Fever In A Child?

My seven year old girl has what looks like red blisters with white tops to them in between her butt cheeks and upper inner thighs. She also has a fever at this time. Do we need to go to a doctor or can it be cleared up with any cream? It does seem to get better when I put hydrocortisone on it.
