Can I Quit Taking Oxycodone And Hydromorphone For Bulging Discs Which Is Leading To Depression?

I have three bulging discs in my lower back. I have been taking 8 10-325 Oxycodone tablets and 2 8 mg. hydromorphone tablets for at least 8 years. I was a very active person. I am now 74 years of age and really slowing down. I am pretty sure that I am also depressed. I know that these drugs can cause depression. They have also ruined what little bit of a sex life that I had with my wife. I also have Type II diabetes. Several back surgeons have told me that surgery on my back won t help, only create more scar tissue. I want to quit both of these drugs and hope to get my body back to normal. Can you help me? Hello,

We certainly cannot prescribe narcotics over the internet. We also cannot diagnose or treat without seeing the patient directly.

We can give general information and large amounts of narcotics produce several problems.

But one of them is drug dependence, such that if the drug dose is lowered or if the drug is not taken, then the person feels really, really sick.
