Hi,

The choice of antibiotic in UTI depends upon the clinical severity with supportive evidence of infection in the tests.

As there is already consumption of one antibiotic course for 7 days and there are plenty of pus cells, there can be the possibility of drug-resistant UTi and the drugs may not be effective for the same reason.

It is strongly recommended to undertake a urine culture report for drug sensitivity and start prescription medicines in accordance to that only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
