Can I Take Meftal Forte For Fever?

my son is 18. since two days he has high fever. I gave him paracitamole 500mg and later 650mg.Still the fever contds. When the fever reaches 40.1 degree celsius , I went to a medical shop. the pharmacist told me to give him Meftal Forte 1-1-1 for two days. can i give my son this tab thrice daily.

First of all patient used paracetamol 500 mg, again 650 mg , now Meftal forte i.e. mefenamic acid 500 mg+paracetamol 325 mg .
As mefenamic acid very potent pain killer as uses in rheumatoid arthritis and joint pain and pain all over body . While paracetamol is anti pyretic i.e for fever.
As this a drug for symptomatic relief and will subside fever . If fever is due to flu or viral, this is the best medicine and you can give three times in day to your son.
Wait for 4-5 days but if fever still persist then consult a physician and get his opinion about the cause of fever .
