Can I Take Naturogest For PCOD?

Hi, I am 29 yrs old. I have been diagonized with PCOD 14 yrs back. My periods are so irregular and weight gain is a constant issue. I got my last periods on Aug 7th. After that did not get yet. Its 56 days now and I took 2 pregnancy tests at home, both negative. But when I visited the doctor to get my periods immediately she gave me Naturogest 200mg and asked me to follow up if I dont get my periods even after as there may be a delayed pregnancy. Will naturogest help me to advance periods? As I remember during my first preganancy doctor had given me the same tablet ( may be different composition) saying it will support the pregnancy.
