Can I Take Normal Showers Again, Without Covering My Ear ?
Hello, Last summer, after a mistake while snorkeling, I got a perforated eardrum . It seems that it has by now healed quite nicely, meaning that -according to a doctor- my eardrum is now again closed, without a hole, but he could still see the its mark. He said it should continue healing and be as new in a month or so. Can I take normal showers again, without covering my ear? And, even better, can I swimm and dive already, or should I rather wait? As you had perforated ear drum and now healing so avoid swimming or diving or taking shower without covering ear.
Avoid water going inside the ear.

Hello.Welcome.you can take shower.Swim with an ear plug and no diving for at least a month.Still you must take permission and clearance from your ENT specialist before resuming any activity.Good luck.
