Can I Take Urovoid After Being On Catheter?

I have been having a catheter now for over 3 months, about 3 weeks ago my dr put me on urovoid, says my bladder is weak, of late av been experiencing strong urge to urinate its really irritating, the urine volume coming out has greatly reduced and the colour is reddish dark brown, therd were white particles in the urine too called calcium chloride. Am on some antibiotic currently....am to go for a catheter free trial in a week do you think il urinate normal

Hello
Thanks for query .
You have been catheterized with indwelling catheter to drain your bladder which drains your bladder continuously .

The sensation of urge to pass urine is due to foreign body reaction causing involuntary contraction of bladder (Bladder spasm)

You need to take anti muscuranic drug like Oxybutinine twice daily .

Stop taking Urovoid .

The brown colored urine with flakes in urine are due to what is called as Catheter Cystitis.

Get your urine culture done and take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report .

Ensure to drink more water .

All these problems will get resolved after removing the catheter .
